NEWS (april 17, 2004): Sorry about the site being inaccessible for the past day or so, very, very sorry. We had a hardware problem and it wasn't very clear whether it was with a certain controller or a hard drive, but indications were the hard drive, so to be safe we had to clone the drive, but that crazily took forever. It was a really brutal wait, and I'm sorry, but everything is back now, it does seem to have been the controller, and I'm watching everything very, very carefully to make sure there aren't more problems. I hate any downtime, but this was extra-long (seems like Pitas just gets all it's downtime out of the way at once and is fine for ages, none of this little here, little there stuff hah), and I sincerely apologize. news: As always, if you have any problems at all, email us at help@pitas.com, and remember to give us as many details as possible (ie. username, error message, etc). There are a bunch of things you can do here: Add an entry to your page. Edit / Delete an entry if you've made a mistake. Choose a new template to determine how your page looks. This will reset your site's template to one of our built-in templates and will destroy any custom changes you've already made to your page's looks. Change the format for each individual entry. This just changes how each thing you enter into your page is formatted. Archive your current index page. This is for when your main index page gets too long and you want to clear it and store all the entries on another page. Make custom changes to the overall look of your page. This lets you edit the actual HTML of your page in order to change almost anything about the looks, what writing shows up other than the entries, etc. Don't worry, even if you don't know HTML, it's easy to tell what needs changing! Change your description in the user's directory. Change your password. You should do this now and then! Log out if you want to re-login as another user, or in case you're using a shared computer and worried about who is going to use it next. |
